With song titles and lyrics that only legal techies can truly appreciate, Legal Bytes is gearing up for a show at ITLACON.
“With 16 petabytes I can’t find the needle in the haystack of files that you gave me,” is one line from the band’s song “L-O-V-Ediscovery.” Sounds to us like a little early case assessment.
See what we did there? “Sounds like.”
Sorry, dear reader, it was just too easy: here’s a sad trombone sound.
“Lawyers Love Lexis”
Other song titles play on legal trends such as “Bright Lights, Big Data” and “ITIL the End of Time” a hilarious tribute to IT service principles such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
The band is “completely comprised of senior IT executives from some of the largest national law firms or corporate legal departments in the country.” It’s scheduled to be back on stage at one of the largest annual legal industry technology tradeshows, which this year is being held again in Las Vegas at Caesar’s Palace.
We have it on background the Legal Bytes set this year will include five tracks – and we’re especially interested in the third song in the set:
1. Bright Lights Big Data
2. Old Technology Blues
3. Lawyers Love Lexis
4. Centricity Matters
5. User Love
The band will play in the Palace Ballroom on August 31st – beginning at 6:30 p.m. local time. A video of an “unplugged” version of “ILTA’s Got Talent” is embedded nearby. It’s this week’s Friday Share.
And for the record, we love you back! More and unconditionally!
